Along with a team from In Depth 60 Minutes at KBS, we tracked down a dog fighting and gambling ring operating in Gwangmyeong, and reported them to the police.
Two severely wounded dogs and two other dogs were rescued from the scene.
Monroe is comparatively small for a fighting dog. With such a small physique, it’s a wonder that she survived such a horrendous environment.
Although, Monroe is still a little cautious with strangers, she’s a cutie who loves getting hugged, and she gets along well with her doggy friends.
She loves going for walks, and as she is still like a puppy, she loves soft blankets.
At the time of her rescue, she was contaminated with heartworms, but she has since made a full recovery.
Monroe was physically abused by her former owner, even before she was abandoned at the dog fighting ring, so we really want her to find a loving family to look after her for life.
Depending on the breed, the size, and its environment the lifespan of a dog may vary from 12 to 16 years. Monroe is still growing, so we ask you to consider all these aspects if you wish to adopt her.
