Seven years ago, two dogs turned up in a small Namyangju village. One resident noticed that the female had been giving birth every six months, and took her to the vet to be spayed. Soon, the entire village was pitching in to feed and love the two dogs.
One day, the male dog disappeared, leaving the female to roam and beg for food on her own. The village began calling her “머털이” (“Muttury”).
Recently, people began noticing that Muttury was walking with a limp. One restaurant owner took her in and contacted CARE.
CARE took her to the vet, where we learned that she had torn a cruciate ligament in front of the joint.
Can you imagine how much it must have hurt for her to limp around on this leg?
We hope that Muttury will heal quickly and find her new home soon.
