How your Donations Help CARE

CARE was founded in 2002 with the goal of rescuing the many animals in need. Today, we are still the only Non-Profit in South Korea actively rescuing.

We rescue more than 1,000 animals every year, including cats, dogs, horses, cows, deer and much more.

Our adoption centers' focus is to reduce overpopulation and promote the adoption of companion animals. 

We also work with various animal health centers to provide medical assistance to animals in low-income families.

We continue to campaign for improvements to animal welfare legislation. 

Our efforts have recently seen amendments to the South Korean Animal Protection Act, which now includes much better safeguards for animals, and penalties for abuse and cruelty.

Our no-kill shelter prevents lost, stray and abandoned animals from being abused, neglected or traded into the dog meat industry. 

The shelter is currently housing 300 rescue animals while actively seeking safe new homes.
