Beckgom grew up confined in a small cage. She could not stand up straight and could not run. Consequently, the muscles in her legs did not develop properly, and she was permanently in a crouched position. The vet told us that she would never be able to stand up or completely unfold use her hind legs. She also had nearly no muscles due to the forced inactivity, and there internal bones pushing against her stomach.
Yet Beckgom she is smart and active and can move around quite well using her forelegs. She is cautious with strangers, but loves the people who are familiar to her.
